IL29/IFNL1: Target/Biomarker Introduction, products summarized (antibody/ADC/bispecific/antigen/ORF vector/VLP) and disease/indication/condition/MOA for drug discovery and IVD
It's the GeneMedi's summary page for Target/Biomarker Introduction of IL29/IFNL1. The page also collects GeneMedi's different modalities and formats products for IL29 in therapeutics/drug discovery and IVD diagnostics, which is including antibody, ADC, bispecific, antigen, ORF vector, VLP, etc. With GeneMedi's target-insight database-GM ITD database, the IL29 target is also connected to human indications/diseases/conditions/MOA.
Target sublocation: Secreted Protein/Potential Cytokines.
This gene encodes a cytokine distantly related to type I interferons and the IL-10 family. This gene, interleukin 28A (IL28A), and interleukin 28B (IL28B) are three closely related cytokine genes that form a cytokine gene cluster on a chromosomal region mapped to 19q13. Expression of the cytokines encoded by the three genes can be induced by viral infection. All three cytokines have been shown to interact with a heterodimeric class II cytokine receptor that consists of interleukin 10 receptor, beta (IL10RB) and interleukin 28 receptor, alpha (IL28RA). IFNL1 (Interferon Lambda 1) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with IFNL1 include Cd4/Cd8 T-Cell Ratio and Psoriasis 12. Among its related pathways are Toll-Like receptor Signaling Pathways and Cytokine Signaling in Immune system. Gene Ontology (GO) annotations related to this gene include signaling receptor binding and interleukin-28 receptor binding. An important paralog of this gene is IFNL3.
