The target: VEGFD, gene name: VEGFD, also named as FIGF, VEGF-D. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor/vascular endothelial growth factor (PDGF/VEGF) family and is active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, and endothelial cell growth. This secreted protein undergoes a complex proteolytic maturation, generating multiple processed forms which bind and activate VEGFR-2 and VEGFR-3 receptors. This protein is structurally and functionally similar to vascular endothelial growth factor C. Read-through transcription has been observed between this locus and the upstream PIR (GeneID 8544) locus. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011].
About Gmab
GMab, developed by GeneMedi, constitutes an advanced library of recombinant monoclonal antibodies, each meticulously designed to target specific molecular entities. Leveraging the sophisticated capabilities of GM’s Taurus™ and LIBRA™ platforms, GMab synthesizes antibodies characterized by high binding affinity, exceptional physicochemical stability, and optimal developability profiles.
Through expression in mammalian cell lines, GMab has been established as a paradigmatic reference antibody. It holds significance in myriad domains of biological drug discovery, encompassing cellular cultivation, innovative assay methodologies, strategic animal model systematization, in-depth pharmacokinetic & pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling, and intricate mechanism of action (MOA) investigations.
