Lentivirus vector system (lentivirus expression system, lentivirus packaging plasmid system) (Amp and Kanamycin)

GeneMedi's lentivirus Vector System, also named the lentivirus expression system or lentivirus packaging plasmid system, is a powerful tool for in-vitro & in-vivo gene delivery, shRNA mediated RNA interference (RNAi), gene editing and stable cellline development. You can easily produce a recombinant lentivirus particle in HEK293T or HEK293FT cell line in high titer using GeneMedi's lentivirus Vector System.

The Genemedi lentivirus vector system including 3 lentivirus packaging plasmids: the lentivirus expression plasmids with different promoters and tags, an envelope protein VSV-G expressing plasmid pMD2G and a packaging plasmid pSPAX2 expressing Gag-pol and Tat.

GeneMedi offers both Ampicillin (Amp) resistance and Kanamycin (Kan) resistance for the Second and Third Generation Lentivirus Vector Systems. Second and Third Generation Lentivirus Vector System of GeneMedi provide huge benefits for the researchers work. The Second Generation system improves safety since the viral accessory genes, such as vif, vpr, vpu, and nef, have been deleted which minimize the risk of replication-competent virus generation. This vector is suitable for instances where mid–range transgene expression is desired to avoid toxicity to the cell. The Third Generation system enhances the safety by dispersing the essential viral genes to multiple of plasmids thus less chance to produce replication competent viruses, DEMO and widening host range through pseudotyping is the ability to infect a wide variety of cells including post mitotic cells. This makes it particularly suitable for in-vivo purposes as well as for gene therapy protocols. Both systems offer high efficiency of stable gene delivery and expression, meeting application-relevant safety specifications and experimental demands.
