WNT8B: Target/Biomarker Introduction, products summarized (antibody/ADC/bispecific/antigen/ORF vector/VLP) and disease/indication/condition/MOA for drug discovery and IVD
It's the GeneMedi's summary page for Target/Biomarker Introduction of WNT8B. The page also collects GeneMedi's different modalities and formats products for WNT8B in therapeutics/drug discovery and IVD diagnostics, which is including antibody, ADC, bispecific, antigen, ORF vector, VLP, etc. With GeneMedi's target-insight database-GM ITD database, the WNT8B target is also connected to human indications/diseases/conditions/MOA.
Target sublocation: Secreted Protein/Potential Cytokines.
The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes which encode secreted signaling proteins. These proteins have been implicated in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. This gene is a member of the WNT gene family. It encodes a protein which shows 95%, 86% and 71% amino acid identity to the mouse, zebrafish and Xenopus Wnt8B proteins, respectively. The expression patterns of the human and mouse genes appear identical and are restricted to the developing brain. The chromosomal location of this gene to 10q24 suggests it as a candidate gene for partial epilepsy.

The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes which encode secreted signaling proteins. These proteins have been implicated in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. The Wnt family member 8B (Wnt8B) is one of the canonical Wnt ligands implicated in oncogenesis, several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis, and other pathophysiological processes. Wnt8B expression was detected in embryoid body derived from ES cells, hepatocyte progenitors derived from ES cells, and fetal brain. It also expressed in several tumors such as gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, and embryonal tumors.
