The MHC class I molecules, in partnership with Feline B2M, form a crucial part of immune surveillance in cats. Their primary function is to present fragments of intracellular pathogens or abnormal cellular proteins to cytotoxic T cells, the immune system's elite enforcers. Feline B2M plays a vital role in ensuring the proper functioning of MHC class I molecules.
